This brief introduction is not meant to be a theologic dissertation but a simple observation. It does not meet the criteria for academic or scholastic rigour. It is neither comprehensive or definitive, but rather a simplified summary of one aspect of a very complex subject.

Mathematica & the Raspberry Pi
Wolfram’s Mathematica is a very powerful computational software suite, and the authors have graciously offered it without cost for the Raspberry Pi.
The Wolfram language can be quite daunting for the novice because it is capable of extremely complex tasks, well beyond the novice.
This ebook is intended to be a collection of examples to help the beginner get started and hopefully encourage them to learn the Wolfram language.
The Transmission Line Equation
It is my hope that this brief introduction to transmission lines will be of some benefit to someone. I am indebted to all of the authors who have made their work readily available on-line and would like to do the same.

DC Power Supplies
This is a very basic introduction to linear and switch-mode DC power supplies.
Power Supply design has advanced phenomenally over the past 50 years. There are so many design tools and pre-designed circuit available that it is no longer necessary to have a deep understanding of the subject.
This brief introduction is only meant to expose the student to the most basic underlying concepts.
Several free software tools are available to assist in this endeavour:
- Falstad Simulation – simplified SMPS circuits
- iCircuit Simulation – simplified SMPS circuits
- LTSpice – very comprehensive simulator (but is a real pain on Mac OS)
